Family days out in southern Fuerteventura: zoo, water park and more
Our studio sleeps 2 adults and 1 child, and plenty of family-activity leaflets circulate in the area. Here are the ones we have cross-checked against official websites, with what you should know before you go.
Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura (La Lajita)
A zoo and botanical garden (Oasis Botanic) on the Carretera General de Jandía, in La Lajita. Its website suggests setting aside a whole day and says it opens every day from 9:00 to 18:00; show and experience times can change, and the website itself asks you to check them separately.
- Without a car: the Oasis Bus does not require booking a seat or buying a ticket in advance, and timetables are on its website. Oasis also lists bus lines 01, 09, 10 and 25 and taxis as options.
- By car: free parking for cars and motorbikes, and free guarded bicycle parking at the entrance, according to its website.
- Agro-artisan market (Oasis Market): Sundays from 9:00 to 14:00, in the park grounds. The park's leaflet announces free entry to the market every Sunday.
Acua Water Park (Corralejo)
A water park in Corralejo, at the far north of the island: from Morro Jable it is a long trip, which is why there is a pick-up service, the AcuaBus, from Jandía, Esquinzo and Costa Calma. It opens only part of the year, from spring to autumn: check the calendar on its website.
Pick-up days change with the season (in autumn 2026 they were Fridays only). The AcuaBus is booked by email to reservas@acuawaterpark.com before 17:00 the day before. Park phone: +34 928 580 100.
Go-karts in Puerto del Rosario
Gran Karting Fuerteventura is in the Risco Prieto industrial estate in Puerto del Rosario. According to an activity listing it has a 1,000 m circuit for adults and a children's one; its leaflet speaks of an activity for all ages from 6 years old. Confirm the conditions directly with the circuit.
And without leaving Morro Jable
The apartment has access to the complex's communal pool, and the beach is about 250 m away. If you take children to Matorral beach, it is worth reading first why the access walkways must be used.
