Getting around Morro Jable and the south without a car
From the airport to the beach, you can enjoy Morro Jable without renting a car. This guide sums up which buses (guaguas) run here, how to pay and whom to call, using information checked against official sources.
From the airport to Morro Jable
Tiadhe line 10 links Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura airport and Morro Jable. According to Aena, the bus stops at the terminal, floor 0, departures area. It is the most direct option.
Alternatively, line 3 runs from the airport to Puerto del Rosario, where you can change to line 1 or 10 for Morro Jable. By car the trip from the airport is about 85 km and roughly 75 minutes via the FV-2; by bus it takes longer, so allow considerably more time.
If your flight lands late, check the last service of the day on the Tiadhe website beforehand, or plan a taxi or transfer.
The lines that matter in the south
- Line 10: Puerto del Rosario – airport – Morro Jable, direct service.
- Line 01: Puerto del Rosario – Morro Jable, with trips that call at Triquivijate and Las Playitas and others that end at Gran Tarajal; it starts and ends at the Morro Jable pier.
- Line 05: Costa Calma – Morro Jable.
- Lines 04 and 09: Pájara – Morro Jable. Line 25: La Lajita – Morro Jable.
- Line 111: Morro Jable – Cofete – Punta de Jandía (see the Cofete guide).
We deliberately don't publish timetables: they change often (in 2025 there were even minimum services during a strike) and Tiadhe posts them on its website under "Routes and timetables".
How to pay
- Cash to the driver. Tiadhe states that notes above €50 are not accepted and that the note handed over cannot exceed five times the fare.
- Non-resident card: bought and topped up on board, with a €5 issuing fee, and it gives a 10% discount.
Fares are made up of a minimum for short trips plus a price per kilometre, and the Cabildo approves them every year. Tiadhe does not list the amounts on its payment page but in a tariff PDF. The page does not mention paying by bank card, so carry cash.
On foot from the apartment
From our apartment the beach is about 250 m away, a 3–4 minute walk, with direct access to the seafront promenade and cycle path. Rental e-scooters also operate along the promenade.
